Where it All Came From
When telling my friends and family that I planned on starting a blog, the first question everyone asked was “Why?”. And this answer is very simple: to help people. Once college ended and my career began, I realized that I wasn’t necessarily doing much for others. It felt as if I had the knowledge to help and just needed a way to express it.
Solution: Me creating this blog.
This blog is for every one of course, but it will be tailored mostly to a younger crowd around the ages of 18-25. This period of time is wrapping up for me and I feel like I could make a difference in other people’s lives. Your next question might be, “Why should I give a shit what this guy has to say?” Honestly, you don’t. The one thing that I am is relatable. Experiences in this age group rarely compare to older generations. Just think of me as a friend; nothing less and nothing more.
To get an accurate idea on the different categories of blogs I will write about, I’ve surveyed five of the closest people in my life. All of these people are in the 18-25 age group and in different stages of their lives. Based on their answers and my personal opinion, these blogs will be organized as follows: CAREER, NUTRITION/FITNESS, RELATIONSHIPS, and LIFESTYLE.
● CAREER based blogs will cover education (the beginning of all careers whether you like it or not), post college work experience, and everything in between.
● Blogs involving NUTRITION/FITNESS will cover pretty much what it states and how to incorporate it into your lifestyle.
● RELATIONSHIP blogs won’t just be about girlfriend or boyfriend problems but relationships with your family, friends, fellow students, coworkers, etc.
● And finally, LIFESTYLE blogs will be a miscellaneous group that will cover things like travel, hobbies, etc. and include content very interesting in my opinion or the opinion of others.
These blogs will be very straightforward. The end of each blog will contain a quote dedicated to the topic at hand, and a book of the month that I will link to Amazon. Each quote will have its purpose, as sort of closing summary, and something to hopefully impact your week ahead. Each book recommended will be a book that I’ve personally read and feel it will improve your life if acted upon it. Each blog will be posted weekly, Sunday at 10 AM on the dot central time. The most important aspect of these blogs will be the readers’ feedback. Whether it’ll be questions about the current topic or recommendations for future topics, reaching out to my email will be much appreciated and welcomed.
Don’t forget to like, comment, share and subscribe! If you’ve made it this far, I’m sort of surprised, but enough of the BS……let’s get to blogging!
